What it is
Selank is a synthetic peptide derived from a naturally occurring immune-system peptide, developed in Russia. It is discussed mainly around anxiety and stress resilience.
What is currently understood
As with Semax, most of the clinical literature is Russian and not developed to FDA review standards. Animal research suggests effects on anxiety-related pathways.
What is not established
Safety and efficacy in humans, by international trial standards, are not established. Long-term use is unstudied.
Regulatory status
Not approved by the FDA. Its nomination to the 503A bulks list was withdrawn in April 2026 for insufficient safety information.
How it comes up in coaching
